About Me

photoGrowing up I was always drawn to watching the sound and lighting guys at concerts and I remember being in awe of the sound system and lights.  For most people, that’s where the dream ends.  I was fortunate enough to actually get to pursue that type of career into college. I graduated from Belmont University in May 2009 with a BBA in Music Business.

Originally my focus was to become a live sound engineer.  As I got involved with the showcase series I found myself learning about all parts of a production:  lighting set up, audio, video, scheduling, staffing, venues, and everything else that goes into a show. In February 2008 I produced the Rock Showcase and won Best Showcase of the Year. In September of 2008, I produced the Christian Showcase and had Todd Agnew as a guest headline artist. During my four years of being involved with the showcase series, I was the production manager on over a half-dozen shows as well as stage manager on a couple of shows. I learned as much, if not more, about the music business through the showcase series than I did in any of my classes about the industry.

Outside of school I have stayed involved with my church’s worship arts team on Sunday mornings. As a regular volunteer running MediaShout, I have had the privilege of helping my church worship through visual elements. During the past two summers, I worked for World Changers as the a/v on my team. I ran audio during worship every night and shot/edited/produced weekly camp highlight videos.

As of now, I’m available for hire temporarily, part-time or full-time and willing to relocate with enough notice. I’m interested in working for a band or a church as the technical director, but will consider other options as well. My resumé is available as a PDF here.
